What You'll Be Doing?
As a Warehouse Hygiene Operative, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring smooth, efficient processes while upholding our reputation for exceptional service. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Safety First: You will take responsibility for putting safety first and always behave in a manner that ensures your own safety and that of others.
- Team Support: You will provide basic support and guidance within the team, leading by example. Supporting the warehouse team to assemble and complete all orders on time and in full for primary and secondary distribution routes (where applicable). Identifying deficits and taking appropriate action to ensure the deficit is evenly distributed across all customers.
- Compliance: You will comply with all relevant Health, Safety, Environment, and Food Safety standards and working practices.
- Hygiene & Housekeeping: Delivers all Hygiene and Housekeeping activities to achieve company standards, ensuring any risks are identified and escalated to a Line Manager & follows routine hygiene schedule for specific pieces of equipment to deliver company standards. Carrying out deep cleaning of warehouse equipment, racking, and high-touch surfaces on a scheduled basis & assisting with the cleaning and sanitising of staff communal areas (e.g., kitchens, restrooms, break rooms).
- Equipment Operation: You will take responsibility for operating a wide range of equipment across the operation to deliver site standards.
- Quality Service: You will follow site processes and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations, supporting the accurate handling and movement of goods to deliver unbeatable quality service.

Essential Ingredients
- Previous experience as an Operative ideally gained in a food environment with an equal mix of Warehouse and Hygiene responsibilities
- Detailed knowledge and experience of working towards all SOPs which effect a warehouse
- Effective manual handling techniques training undertaken
- Knowledge of SAP to enable allocation of product and closing of orders
- Understanding of requirements of Hygiene & Food Safety Legislation
- Good communication skills- a team player, listens to others, respects differences in personal style and beliefs
- Can prioritise and manage own workload to ensure tasks are delivered as promised
- Decision making skills – makes effective decisions in areas affecting own job
- Numeracy – mental arithmetic skills
- Basic IT skills
