Leadership Development Lead (Fixed Term Contract)

We’re looking for a highly skilled modern leadership expert, who can bring their own re-shaping skills, along with a great external network to help shape a more adaptive, inclusive and agile leadership population.
You’ll have experience up to senior leader level. You’ll be hot on your feet, as well as being strong on design. You’ll know what will shift mindset and help our leaders lead a business built for change, rather than stability.
You’ll be used to being part of or leading a talent team, where you understand what sits left and right of you, in terms of talent, operational learning, early careers and change. This way, you can contribute to the change making across talent.
Key Accountabilities and Measures
- Providing insight, design, development and execution for any capability, cultural and change activities.
- To contribute to the development of a ‘fit for future’ workforce, by supporting the development of the LandD Operating model, Talent Strategy and LandD strategy.To oversee and manage the annual Talent and Succession Planning Process.
- Analyse outputs and develop insights which underpin the introduction of innovative approaches and solutions in the businessTo design and develop, or work with specialised partner to deliver critical learning and talent development interventions for high potentials in order to stretch and develop them and fulfil their potential.
- Support the next generation talent requirements through the management of apprenticeship, graduate and internship programmes.
- Manage the LandD proposition within the Talent Learning and Culture strategy. In collaboration with organisation leaders understand the business strategy in order to shape and deliver the learning and development strategy and associated activities and interventions both centrally and operationally.
- Conduct research to understand best practice in learning and development. Develop insights from the analysis which underpin the introduction of innovative approaches and solutions in the businessTo support the ongoing development and roll-out of all Leadership and Management Development Programmes, ensuring that all leaders within the business have the right
- capability and contribute to their full potential in line with Warburtons Values and SFs.
- Lead the development of business cases for TLC initiatives and work to ensure the delivery of stated benefits through assessment of ROI/ROE.
- To maintain own continuous professional development (CPD) and knowledge of best practice to ensure the Board, Business Leaders and Managers have a reliable and professional HR consultancy service to meet their needs. Identify CPD opportunities for self and other HR team members/key stakeholders.
Essential Ingredients
- Significant experience in a specialist OD/HR role: Talent and Succession Management; Leadership Development, Learning and Development. Excellent at managing and developing people and teams
- Operating at a senior management level.
- Significant experience in skills development, behavioural development, management and leadership development. Must have excellent design and facilitation experience.
- Psychometrics – ideally have experience in MBTI, EQI and Hogan
- A coaching qualification is preferable, with an ability to coach at all levels.
- Change Management and Project management skills: Confident designing, developing and delivering innovative solutions; able to move conceptual ideas into tangible outcomes and present these using a variety of mediums.
- Must be able to create and implement innovative programmes and plans that are fit for purpose.
- Excellent communication skills: influential; persuasive; politically savvy; impactful business case/presentation skills.
- Excellent relationship builder- collaborative in approach, establishing credibility with both internal and external contacts at a senior level, outstanding stakeholder management skills
- Expert facilitator at all levels up to and including Senior Leaders
- Financial acumen- budgetary and financial planning experience; demonstrates ability to analyse and understand data and information quickly, to make a judgement and robust decisions.
