We're expanding the team! We're committed to creating new and exciting freshly-baked products and due to that investment we have another new opportunity for a Project Engineer / Project Manager to join our Central Engineering team.

 

The Project Engineering team are based out of Bolton in the North West but we have sites located across the UK, so we're not fixed on a location, as long as you're prepared to travel. You'll be joining a team of engineering and project management experts, apply now to find out more!

Essential Ingredients

 

  • Project Engineering and hands-on operational engineering experience, within a multi-site manufacturing, distribution or fast-moving consumer goods environment.
  • Engineering Qualifications such as HND, HNC, BEng or equivalent
  • Project management experience of constructing and delivering capital based activities.
  • Working knowledge of CAD or similar and an ability to read drawings and interpret designs

 

The Recipe

 

Working alongside the Head of Engineering and with our Project Engineering team, you'll be building relationships across the business with a wide range of stakeholders, colleagues and external suppliers.

 

Taking the lead on Engineering projects across our national site network, you'll lead the engineering process, working with Innovation, NPD, Central and Ops Engineering teams and suppliers and be involved in new product launches.

 

In previous roles you'll have managed large CAPEX budgets and provided engineering leadership, implementation solutions and project management skills. You’ll be using your  knowledge of purchasing and supplier negotiation skills for new plant machinery, whilst managing our suppliers contracts and agreements effectively.

 

We never compromise on Health & Safety or Quality, and you'll champion our Health and Safety strategy, PUWER, legislation and company standards in all project work and identify and instigate Food Safety and energy usage improvements within your area of responsibility.
