Are you a Finance Manager at the top of your P&L and looking for your next challenge?

As part of the Operations Finance team, you’ll be a key business partner, influencer and advisor to the Manufacturing and Distribution teams on site, alongside being part of business wide projects and initiatives.  Here at Bristol, the Operations Finance team are dedicated to ensuring value for money, driving the productivity agenda, and taking a holistic view of finance from across the business to ensure that whenever we make a decision, we know what impact it will have financially.

Key Accountabilities and Measures

As part of our site leadership team, you will partner the Manufacturing and Distribution teams to ensure a focus is maintained to achieve short and long-term targets. Working as part of the Operations Finance team you will be instrumental in the rolling forecast, budget and business plans that will sit locally but will be a part of our national strategy. You will also be the Finance lead nationally for a key area of the P&L providing the opportunity to work with the wider Finance team and key operational stakeholder at other bakeries and depots.

You will manage and lead a small finance team on site to provide an efficient and effective service to the business and enable other teams to work effectively. In this role you will be a key player in the Site Leadership team and contribute to the decision-making process across the site and with accurate and relevant financial information and analysis.

Continuous improvement is championed, with the opportunity to drive improvements in finance processes and controls. Crucially, you will be using your excellent communication skills to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the business.

Essential Ingredients

  • Experience in commercial practice, ideally in an FMCG environment, CIMA or similar qualification
  • Excellent relationship builder with strong communication skills able to lead and develop a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to manipulate and interpret data clearly and concisely to finance and non-finance colleagues.
  • Experience of operating in a SAP (or similar) environment; Proficient in Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage a demanding and varied workload, to key deadlines.
