Salary: up to £62,300 per annum depending on experience and skills

Are you already a Mechanical or Maintenance Engineer with previous experience of working within a manufacturing environment? 

 

We are looking to appoint Mechanically biased Engineers to join our growing team. You’ll have the opportunity to work with our Asset care and Engineering teams to improve reliability thourgh the identification of issues through root cause analysis and condition-based monitoring. You’ll be responsible for planned and preventative maintenance tasks to help prevent issues before they occur.

 

The Recipe

Our Engineers are responsible for delivering a high standard of engineering  to a safe and reliable standard. They undertake planned and preventative maintenance and are encouraged to use their engineering skills and experience to develop robust solutions and long-term fixes.   There's a huge variety of tasks that will range from general plant maintenance to improving plant reliability and diagnosing problems before they develop

The Role

  • Ensure all engineering activities undertaken are compliant to internal & external standards including Health & Safety legislation, identifying any required actions so that the area of responsibility is healthy, safe and accident free.
  • Responsible for executing fault finding and maintenance through RCM and CBM activities. Driving improvements in asset reliability and reduction in losses.
  • Adheres to site specific machinery procedures to ensure safe and efficient asset maintenance, contributing to the continuous improvement of operational performance.
  • Drive a proactive Engineering Continuous Improvement culture - Contributing to the improvement and development of maintenance activities & standard operating procedures.
  • Compliance with quality and food safety legislation, company standards and specifications in order to meet the requirements of professional and legal standards.

Essential Ingredients

  • Knowledge and experience of mechanical maintenance preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • H&S legislation knowledge e.g. PUWER, IOSH – able to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Analysing and problem-solving skills, anticipates problems before they occur and takes steps to deal with them/correctly and swiftly identifies the underlying problem and finds appropriate solutions.
  • Knowledge of thermal imaging and or vibration analysis would be beneficial
  • Engineering Qualification such as Apprenticeship, HNC, BTECH or equivalent.
