At Warburtons, we don’t just fix machines — we develop Engineers.

We’re looking for an Engineering Technician, Semi- Skilled Engineer or an aspiring Engineer with a strong manufacturing background. You’ll join our Enfield Engineering team as part of a structured development pathway into a Multi‑Skilled Engineer role.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone currently working in manufacturing or operations who has a strong technical interest and wants to build a long‑term career in engineering.

The Role

As an Engineering Technician, you’ll support our Engineers with first‑line fault finding, basic line breakdowns, and planned maintenance activities, while learning on the job through mentoring and formal training.

You won’t be thrown in at the deep end — this role is all about building capability, confidence, and competence over time.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting production lines during minor breakdowns and stoppages
  • Carrying out basic fault finding and simple repairs under supervision
  • Assisting with planned maintenance and asset care activities
  • Learning engineering safe systems of work and best practice
  • Developing your technical skills through a structured training programme

Who We’re Looking For

  • Someone with manufacturing or operational experience and strong problem solving and technical mindset, with basic fault-finding skills.
  • Good understanding of engineering safety, safe systems of work, and the importance of compliance
  • Ability to follow engineering procedures, work instructions, and maintenance standards
  • A team player who’s curious, reliable, and keen to learn engineering skills
  • An individual who wants to progress into a Multi‑Skilled Engineer role
  • Engineering qualifications are not essential —just a strong willingness to learn

What We’ll Offer You

  • A clear and supported pathway into engineering with up to 44 days of formal training
  • Salary progression linked to milestones
  • On‑the‑job mentoring from experienced Engineers
  • Formal training aligned to Multi‑Skilled Engineer capability
