At our Tuscany Park Bakery in Wakefield, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and food safety. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hygiene Team Manager to join our dynamic team.

 

 

 

Essential Ingredients

 

 

  • Level 3 HACCP certification.
  • Strong knowledge of COSHH regulations
  • IOSH qualification.
  • Proven experience in a hygiene management role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.

 

 

The Recipe

 

 

As the Hygiene Team Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all hygiene activities at the Tuscany Park Bakery. You will ensure that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and comply with all relevant health and safety regulations. This role is crucial to maintaining the quality and safety of our products.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

 

  • Lead and manage the hygiene team, ensuring all members are trained and motivated.
  • Develop and implement hygiene protocols and cleaning schedules.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) level 3 standards.
  • Ensure adherence to COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations.
  • Maintain IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) standards.
  • Conduct regular hygiene audits and risk assessments.
  • Liaise with other departments to coordinate hygiene activities and resolve issues.
  • Report on hygiene performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage hygiene-related budgets and resources.

Our Tuscany Park “super bakery” and distribution depot opened in 2005 and can be found on the outskirts of Normanton at Wakefield Europort. The bakery runs 3 high speed, highly automated manufacturing plants producing products like the famous Toastie, Farmhouse, Danish and Wholemeal and sliced bread rolls.  

We have around 500 colleagues at Tuscany Park and 70 colleagues in our Howden depot, who ensure our delicious freshly baked products reach our customers across the UK each day. With some exciting innovation and investment, we’re still growing!
