The Recipe
You’ll be joining a great team of Finance Professionals who work across our business to support our site operations as a trusted finance expert.
As an Operations Finance Manager you’ll build a strong network across the operation and the senior divisional teams using your ability to turn data into insight and bringing the numbers to life by maximising the use of key cost drivers and metrics.
We have a permanent opportunity for an Operations Finance Manager or Finance Business Partner to join our Operations Finance Team supporting our manufacturing and distributions operations teams across our Northern England & Scotland site locations.
You’ll be responsible for influencing and advising our Operations and Finance teams on site to contribute to the delivery of the business strategy and Financial Framework.
This role has an element of travel across our site network therefore we can consider candidates who may be based across the Midlands and the North West.
You’ll lead on financial planning to drive performance improvement and alignment of the site plans to the overall business strategy.
Responsible for delivering against business wide productivity and capital projects as well as contributing finance expertise, ensuring compliance and being an ambassador of our financial policies.

Key Accountabilities and Measures
- Business Partnering: Site Finance lead, building great relationships to partner with the manufacturing and distribution divisional teams:
- Turn data into insight and bring the numbers to life
- Key member of Site Leadership Team
- Maximise the use of key cost drivers and metrics/KPIs
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Driving performance improvement through insightful budgeting and forecasting:
- Alignment of site inputs to business strategy
- Process development and simplification
- KPI/metric driven approach
- Focus on key cost areas
- Business wide projects: Leadership of or a proactive team member contributing towards business wide projects (both Finance and non-finance projects).
- Compliance: Adherence to financial policies and controls
- Health & Safety: Behave in a manner that ensures conformance to health & safety legislation, policies and standards.
- Productivity: Alongside the site teams, Finance and wider divisional teams, identify and influence the delivery of productivity initiatives.
- Capital: Ownership of the site capex process.
- Lead for Growth: People management and development:
- Line management of the Finance teams on site
- Commitment to CPD
- Support the development of the site and wider Finance team
Essential Ingredients
- Qualified CIMA (or equivalent) accountant, ideally within a FMCG business
- Demonstrated positive performance in business partnering with senior stakeholders (financial and operational)
- Able to identify and influence the delivery of projects, including effective resources allocation
- Strong leadership skills
