The Recipe

 

Working with our warehouse and distribution teams at our Tuscany site you’ll be an important part of our work family. Ensuring our quality products are ready to be delivered to our customers on time and in full, with your eye always on quality. 

 

In this role you will be managing and developing a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring that all internal and external customer requirements are met accurately, on time, and in a safe and legal manner. It’s a fast-paced environment that will keep you on your toes!

 

You’ll be a strong people manager keeping your team one step ahead with their development and input into their personal development plans. To juggle all this job brings you’ll be able to be flexible and highly-organised, making things happen when the need arises. 

 

To keep any warehouse moving you’ll need to be an excellent planner and keep an eye on KPI’s and performance standards. 

 

The warehouse team manager will be willing to work a fixed night shift pattern.

Key Accountabilities and Measures

 

  • To manage a team of Warehouse Team Members and Primary Drivers to ensure that all orders are fulfilled on time and in full with a continuous drive for improvement in Customer Service
  • To ensure all colleagues and contractors comply with Health, Safety and Environment, Quality and Food Safety legislation, policies and standards. Initiating required action so that the department continues to drive and develop the Health, Safety and Environment Culture
  • Maintain compliance to transport operator’s and driver regulations (and Warburtons Distribution Manual) ensuring continued legal transport operation
  • Manages a team Warehouse Team Members and Primary Drivers, taking responsibility for all people management activities throughout the employee lifecycle of their team in order to drive improved performance building a positive and motivated team where everyone is engaged.

Essential Ingredients

 

  • Previous experience of operating at a management level within a distribution company (desirable)
  • Previous experience in managing teams, coaching and mentoring
  • Tachograph and WTD regulations
  • Good working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment 
  • Excellent communication skills, articulate and able to develop effective, long-term relationships with key stakeholders / peers
  • Ability to influence using a range of styles to suit the situation
  • Analytical and organised in approach with good problem-solving skills
